I met Ian last year at a Snail Mail concert. He came up to me (drunk off his ass) and showed me the following picture on his phone:
I thought he was just a silly guy after that, but then his band got added to the same bill as my band, and so he came to one of our shows to check us out, BUT I RECOGNIZED HIM!!! He feigned innocence at first, but then admitted that he probably was the guy that was going up to people and showing that them this very specific image. We quickly became friends though, and he is now an incredibly important part of the band. Ian recorded, produced, and mixed all of our new album. Our favorite shows are the ones we get to play with his band, Midnight Wagon. Love you, Ian!
YES! He actually DOES have a band!! Of his own!! It's called Midnight Wagon and they frickin' rock. He inspires me.
"I like the goblin smoking cigarette in graveyard because whenever I walk through a graveyard (only on thursday or friday), I might find one! I never give him any because I find it funny that a GOBLIN (non derogatory) needs HUMAN money. Regardless, I find his plight special and hilarious."
"Business Man Goblin is special because he will pop up in any location at a random time and he will try to sell me things. The things usually consist of trinkets, gizmos, and gadgets, and sometimes, goblin sex toys. I always decline their offer, because I have no use for these goblin items. Regardless, I find his mission to sell goblin goods and services sincere. :)"
